Using Hwb – Guidance and Support for Parents for Distance Learning

On Monday 20th April, class teachers will begin to set tasks each week on Microsoft Teams which is in Office 365. Your child has a class ‘Team’ set up and will have the opportunity to complete weekly tasks and ‘hand them in’ online.

To help with this, on your Child’s HWB home page you will see an online learning support tab (in yellow) which will help and support you and your child over the next few weeks. See link below for Distance Learning support:

https://hwb.gov.wales/distance-learning/

A great help video for finding and using TEAMS:

If you need any further assistance then please email and I will do all I can to help.

Many thanks

8-11 YEAR OLDS COMPETITION 2020

As part of this year’s International Dylan Thomas Day, which is celebrated on 14 May each year, DylanED is inviting 8-11 year olds across Wales to take part in a very special competition.

The competition, which is entitled ‘My Favourite Dream’ is based around Dylan Thomas’ story A Visit to Grandpa’s.

Following in the footsteps of Swansea’s foremost writer and storyteller, the competition will look for children aged 8-11 to submit a short story (100 words), poem or picture of their own favourite dream.
