This week, year 3 had a go at demonstrating their understanding of inverse operations using concrete manipulatives. They started to really understand the concept well – da iawn!
Year 3 have been starting to learn about how to set out subtractions using formal methods, so they’ve had a go at using Numicon first – da iawn blwyddyn tri!
Year 3 have been working on counting in different values from unusual starting points. They have then had a go at investigating the patterns they have found.
Year 3 used their knowledge of place value to sort 3 digit numbers. They created the numbers randomly, used the digits as many times as they could, then sorted the numbers from smallest to largest.
Year 3 had a fantastic session with Jack from the Swans, working on developing team work and communication. They listened well and also used their ICT skills to complete a questionnaire. Da iawn blwyddyn tri!
Year 3 had a great morning finding out about what happens when we send our rubbish for recycling. We figured out which bin is used for what and also had a fantastic tour of the facility and how it operates.
